Alphonse Capone, otherwise known as Al, or Scarface, was born in Brooklyn, New York to an Italian immigrant family. He was the youngest of five boys and his arents were both very respectable people. At the age of 18, Capone was the youngest, most famous organized crime leader in the world. He was the head of the Chicago mafia and became the national emblem of the Boot legging industry, specializing in Canadian Scotch. Capone began to realize he was just as good at running business as the other guys, however when it came to dealing with traitors or competition, Capone liked to use gun powder and bullets rather than a pen and a pink slip of paper, Capone was responsible for more than three hundred murders in Chicago; St Valentines day massacre was one killing that would soon end Capone’s hold on Chicago. The Secret Six, a group of business and government leaders began a secret campaign to take down Capone; they worked with Elliot ess and his untouchables as they created a case against Capone. After almost decade of reigning over Chicago’s organized crime business Capone was finally put in jail, he was convicted of tax invasion for the years 1925-26 and 27, as well as for tax returns for the years 1928-29. He was sentenced to ninety days In prison and fine eight hundred thousand dollars, by the time he was released
